Description
This barn, located about 60 yards south of Rotherwas Chapel, is likely from the 18th century and has undergone some alterations. It is constructed of brick and timber-frame, with parts covered in weatherboarding and a tiled roof. The barn features five structural bays that are aligned in a north-north-east to south-south-west direction and has two levels.
On the east elevation, the upper section is weatherboarded while the ground floor is made of brick. There is a full-height opening to the left of the center, with two additional openings to the left and one to the right in the weatherboarded upper floor. The ground floor includes a wagon entry on the left and a late 19th-century doorway with a cambered head at the far left. Stairs lead from the right to a ledged door for a toilet. The north gable displays two rows of square panels between the first floor and the tie-beam. Inside, the barn has trusses with raking struts. This building is included for its group value.
