Description
This is a barn located about 20 yards north-west of Ashe Farmhouse, likely built in the 18th century. It is constructed from sandstone rubble and has a roof made of Welsh slate. The barn is divided into three bays on each side, aligned in a north/south direction, with a tall space in the southern part.
The east elevation features full-height, ledged, two-leaved doors in the central bay of the left section. The right section is partially obscured by a 19th-century cow shelter and contains three openings with diamond-section oak mullions that divide each opening into five lights. There are also two rows of vent slits and a ledged door from the 18th century. Inside, the barn has raking struts connecting the ties to the principal rafters.
