Description

This building is a stable located about 55 yards northwest of Barton Court, dated "HL 1795" on the keystone and "FWB 1891" indicating a repair. The stable features a brick front, rubble sides, and a timber-framed rear, topped with a plain tiled roof. It is one storey high with a loft, and has a band over the ground floor. There are two outer three-light casement windows and two inner stable doors, all with cambered heads. The rear framing, which is largely reused, consists of three panels high set on a brick plinth. There is an extension at the rear that includes an elliptical arch doorway facing northwest.
