Description
This lodge, dating from circa 1875, stands to the south side of Station Road in Kingston on Soar. It is constructed of rock-faced ashlar with ashlar and terracotta dressings, topped with a slate roof. The building features single ashlar stacks to the rear and ridge, coped gables with finials, a raised eaves band, and a first-floor sill band. It is a single-storey plus attic structure, comprising two gabled bays, with the left bay set back. The front features a doorway with a part-glazed door. To the right of the entrance is a single sash window with glazing bars to the top, accompanied by pointed arched decorative terracotta panels above. Above this are a similar sash window and panel, and to the left, a single sash window with a blind panel. The apex of the single bay on the right has three small, narrow decorated panels.
