Description

Park Lodge is a lodge built around 1860, constructed from ashlar stone with slightly projecting quoins. It features a decorative tiled roof adorned with four pairs of Tudor-style ashlar chimney stacks and decorative barge boards, each topped with a finial and pendant. The building is set on a plinth and has two storeys with three bays.

The central bay projects on the first floor and is supported by cast iron columns of an arcaded porch, which has a single segmental central arch flanked by pointed arches. Above the porch is a cast iron modillion cornice. The central doorway has a panelled door with a chamfered stone surround and is flanked by projecting windows, each featuring tripartite stone transoms and mullion glazing bar casements.

On the first floor, there are three smaller casements above the windows, with the central one having a Tudor-style hood mould. The outer two casements break into the eaves and are gabled, each with barge boards, finials, and pendants. Both gables have a single similar bay and a single similar casement above. The rear of the lodge mirrors the front, but the door is double and part glazed with glazing bars. All windows have stone surrounds, and those on the first floor feature decorative voussoirs.
