Description
The lychgate at the entrance to the churchyard of the Church of St. Winifred was built in 1902. It is constructed from dressed coursed rubble, ashlar, and wood, featuring a gableted slate roof with a single ridge cross. Each gable is adorned with an open wooden trefoil. The central entrance consists of wood and iron double gates, which are flanked by single walls made of dressed coursed rubble and ashlar, extending at right angles. These walls are topped with an open wooden framework that supports the roof. An inscription on the beams states, "This gate was erected by the inhabitants of the parish in commemoration of the coronation of Edward VII 1902." The lychgate is included in the listing for its group value only.
