Description
Church Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the early and late 18th century and the 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with some blue brick accents and features plain tile roofs and brick coped gables. The building has a single red brick ridge stack on the late 18th century range and another similar stack to the right of the early 18th century range.
The early 18th century section is made of red brick stretchers and blue brick headers, presenting a gabled front that is two storeys high plus a garret, with a single bay. It has first and second floor bands, a single canted bay window with one sash flanked by two smaller sashes, and above this is a single glazing bar sash under a segmental arch, with a smaller sash above it.
To the left, set back, is the late 18th century two-storey, four-bay range featuring a raised eaves band. There is a 19th century open porch made of brick and wood, leading to an inner panelled door with an overlight. To the right of the porch is a single glazing bar sash, and to the left are two similar sashes. Above these are three smaller sashes. There are also further lower two-storey wings to the left.
