Description
The School House is an early 18th-century building with a rear wing added in the 19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a gabled plain tile roof. The building has a brick plinth, cogged and rebated eaves, and two coped gables with kneelers. There are two ridge stacks, a single gable stack, and a single side wall stack. The structure is two storeys high and has two bays, forming an L-plan.
The main south front has an off-centre Artisan Mannerist rusticated brick doorcase with a dentillated round head and kneelers, which contains a moulded panelled door. Above the door is a blocked round opening, and the doorcase is flanked by single glazing bar sashes with segmental heads. Above these, there are two 19th-century gabled cross eaves dormers, each featuring a Yorkshire sash with a segmental head.
On the east gable, there is a large door with an overlight to the left and a glazing bar sash to the right, both with segmental heads. Above these, there is a small casement window. The north side of the building has a blocked opening. The rear wing features an off-centre plank door on the east side, flanked to the left by a casement and to the right by a Yorkshire sash, all with segmental heads. To the right of this, there is a 20th-century lean-to addition with a plank door, and above it, there are two Yorkshire sashes.
