Description
This is a house, dating to the late 18th century, with additions and alterations made in the mid-19th century and the 20th century. It is constructed of brick with pantile and plain tile roofs, and has a dressed stone plinth. There are three gable stacks and three ridge stacks. The house is two storeys high and has three bays across the front, forming an L-shaped layout. The front elevation features leaded casements and Yorkshire sash windows, with the ground floor windows having segmental heads. To the left is a lower, two-storey service wing. The front has a sash window to the left, followed by two casements. Above, a small central casement is flanked by single sashes. The rear elevation contains a mid-20th century, off-centre lean-to porch with a door and a casement window. The west gable has a blocked door to the left, and a casement window to the right. Above, there is a casement window to the left, and a mid-19th century rear wing, also L-shaped, with a door and a casement window to the west. To the right of that are late 20th-century bow windows. Upstairs, there are two casements plus a casement in the return angle. Beyond that, to the north, is a single-storey 20th-century addition, three bays wide, with coped gables.
