Description

The Old Windmill is a brick windmill, constructed in 1852. The sails and cap were removed in 1920. The structure is tarred, with a concrete slab roof. It comprises a battered, round tower of three stages. The ground stage has, to the north, a stable door with a segmental head, and an inscribed datestone reading '1852' above it. An east-facing casement window is also present. To the west, there is a flat-roofed 20th-century link to a 20th-century bungalow. The second stage has casement windows to the north and south. The third stage also has casement windows to the north and south.
