Description
The barn at Bar Farm is an early 19th-century threshing barn that also includes an adjoining pigeoncote and stable. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and features pantile roofs from the 19th and 20th centuries. The building has rebated eaves and a pedimented gable, standing at one and two storeys high with six bays. The openings have segmental heads. Each side of the barn has a pair of close-boarded barn doors with segmental heads and strap hinges, which are flanked by single or paired diamond breathers. The south gable has a blocked opening with a breather above it. The single-bay pigeoncote to the north has a casement window and a stable door on the east side, with a central square opening above that contains wooden pigeonholes. The lower stable to the north features a casement window and a stable door on the east side, with a square-headed casement window to the left above.
