Description
The barns and pigeoncote at The Manor date from the late 18th century and are built of brick with a pantiled roof and stone hips. They are arranged at right angles to each other under a continuous roof, featuring cogged eaves.
The west barn has a pair of off-centre barn doors on the west side, which have a rubbed brick head and a timber lintel, along with closing boards at the bottom. To the left of the doors, there are two glazing bar casements, one of which has a segmental head. To the right of the doors, there are two triple diamond breathers and one double superimposed diamond breather. Further to the right, there are two triple diamond breathers, and above them, there is a pitch hole with a close boarded hatch. The east side of this barn features a barn doorway flanked by buttresses, with two double diamond breathers to the left and two triple diamond breathers and a single casement with a segmental head to the right.
The north barn has a pair of off-centre barn doors on the north side with a segmental head, flanked by two casements on the left and one on the right. Beyond these, there is a single slatted opening flanked by single round openings. Above, there are two 20th-century casements to the left and two small round openings. To the right, there are two double diamond breathers. The pigeoncote, located to the left, features a first-floor band, two small round openings, and a single 20th-century casement above.
On the south side, there is a barn door opening to the left with a timber lintel, and to the right, there are six 20th-century casements, three of which have segmental heads. Above these, there are two 20th-century casements and two round openings to the right. The pigeoncote on this side has a small round opening, a door, and a 20th-century garage door to the right, with a tall 20th-century casement above. Both barns have principal rafter roofs supported by double butt purlins.
