Description

The Pigeoncote, barn, and stable at Old Mill Farm are 18th-century structures made of brick with pantile roofs. They feature dentillated eaves and tumbled, stepped gables with kneelers, along with two gable stacks.

The pigeoncote is two stages high and has a single bay. It includes a west-central doorway with a segmental head, flanked by a casement window on the left and a segmental-headed opening on the right. Above the doorway, there are two tiers of pigeonholes, and to the right, there is a door. Inside, the pigeoncote has timber-framed wattle and daub nest boxes.

Adjoining the pigeoncote at right angles is the barn, which is two storeys high and has three bays. It features a central barn door opening with a timber lintel that has been blocked and contains a segmental-headed door. To the left of this opening is a casement window with a segmental head, and above, there are three Yorkshire sash windows of varying sizes. The west gable of the barn has a single diamond breather. Inside, the barn contains a copper and a bake oven.

The stable, located to the west, dates from the 19th century and is also made of brick with a pantile roof. It is a single storey with three bays and has dentillated eaves. To the left, there are two doorways with segmental heads and timber lintels, and to the right, there is another door with a timber lintel.
