Description

The building consists of a pigeoncote, attached stable blocks, and an outbuilding at Hall Farm, dating from the mid-18th century and 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with pantile roofs and features dentil eaves. The mid-18th century pigeoncote is two storeys plus an attic, with a single bay and the front facing the south gable wall. It has a doorway under a segmental arch with a wooden stable door, and in the attic, there are entrances for pigeons with perches underneath.

To the left of the pigeoncote is a one and a half storey, two bay stable block, which extends to a one and a half storey, four bay 19th century stable block. This stable block has a doorway, a single glazing bar fixed light, another doorway, a single wooden slatted opening with an over light, a third doorway, a single fixed light, and a final doorway. Above the right side, there are two wooden slatted openings. All doorways have stable doors, and all ground floor openings are under segmental arches.

To the right, there is a one and a half storey, two bay 19th century outbuilding featuring a single small fixed light and a large doorway with double wooden doors. Above this doorway is a single fixed light. Projecting from the stable block is a 19th century shelter shed.

Inside the pigeoncote, the first floor has brick nesting boxes and perches that extend from floor to roof on all four sides, along with a brick floor. The stable below retains some stop-chamfered spine beams. The 18th century stable block to the left contains some original wattle panels. This building is included for its group value only.
