Description
The pigeoncote at Corner Farm dates from the late 18th century, while the associated farm outbuildings are from the 19th century. The structure is built of brick with a pantiled roof, featuring a first-floor band, cogged and dentillated eaves, and tumbled coped gables. It stands two storeys high and has two bays.
The main west front includes a central door with a segmental head, flanked by single casements that also have segmental heads, with a blocked doorway to the left. Above this, there are central dentillated two-tier shelves and pigeonholes, with two small iron casements with segmental heads above that. The south gable features a 20th-century garage door, with two tiers of pigeonholes above and two blocked openings with segmental heads above those.
On the east front, there are three blocked openings, a single iron casement above, and a tall, narrow door to the right. To the west, there is a stable with a granary above, which is also two storeys and three bays wide. The south side of this stable has three stable doors with segmental heads, and to the left, there is a brick and stone external stair. Above, to the left, is a casement with a segmental head and a plank door, while to the right is a 20th-century iron casement flanked by single diamond breathers. Above this section, there are two louvred timber roof vents. The building is included for its group value only.
