House, now hotel, and adjoining boundary wall. Late C18, with mid C19 and C20 alterations and additions. Brick with stone and stucco dressings and slate roof with 2 ridge stacks. Plinth and rebated eaves. Windows are mainly 16 pane sashes. s storeys plus attics; 3 window range with stucco lintels. Above, a central C20 box dormer. Steps to central reeded wooden doorcase with open pediment on curved brackets, moulded 6-panel door and overlight. On either side, a sash. To right, a deeply recessed C19 addition with a 12 pane sash. In front of that, a hipped single storey addition with a small segment headed Yorkshire sash. Left return has 2 sashes and above, a single sash in the gable. Below, to right, a C19 bow window with coping and 12 pane sashes. To its left, a single sash. To left, C19 2 storey addition with a single gable stack and a central window. Below, a glazed corridor forming a link to a lower pantile roofed addition with a large triple sash and a small casement. Outside, a partly renewed brick boundary wall with stone coping and brick and stone piers, the pair to left with pyramidal caps. Approx. 20M long.
