Description

The war memorial, located 30 meters east of the Church of St Mary Magdalene in Newark on Trent, was erected in 1921 and is possibly designed by Sir R Blomfield. It is made of Portland stone and features an octagonal base with three unequal steps leading up to an inscribed octagonal pedestal. At the top, there is a tapered cross shaft with a bronze sword on the east side.
