Description

The war memorial in Marnhull Churchyard was built in 1922 by Ponting and is made of Portland stone. It is designed in the style of a medieval market cross typical of Dorset. The memorial features a three-step plinth and an octagonal shaft with a square base. The carved head includes representations of Saint George and the Dragon, the Crucifixion, and angels.
