Description

The Retreat is a pair of cottages that have been converted into a public house, likely dating from the mid-18th century. The building is constructed of squared, coursed rubble and features a tiled, gable-ended roof with a brick stack at the right end. It stands two storeys tall and has a four-window range. The windows on the upper floor are two-light casements with leaded lights above. The ground floor displays various types of largely 20th-century windows arranged in two bays.
