Description
Number 4 Sheppard's Row is a building that was originally three cottages but is now a single dwelling. It dates from the late 18th century to the early 19th century, with a late 20th-century addition and alterations. The structure is made of brick and features hipped and gabled roofs covered in pantiles. At the rear, there is a rendered plinth, and the eaves are cogged and rebated. The building has a single side wall stack and a single gable stack. It is two storeys high and has a five-window range.
The central block projects and contains two Yorkshire sash windows on the upper floor, with three similar sash windows with segmental heads below. To the left, there is a set-back range with two casement windows above and a central gabled wooden porch from the early 20th century, flanked by single casements below. All these windows are from the 20th century and have segmental heads. To the right, there is another set-back range featuring a central segment-headed casement window above and a lean-to glazed porch below, which has a central glazed door flanked by single casements.
