Description
No. 42 Lincoln Road is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a hipped concrete pantile roof with two outer rendered stacks. The building has dentil eaves and stands two and a half storeys tall, comprising three bays. There are painted bands on the first and second floors. The central doorway has a 20th-century glazed door, a painted wedge lintel, a fluted keyblock, and a wooden trellis and pantile porch. On either side of the doorway are single sash windows with marginal lights. The upper floors also contain three similar sashes and three smaller glazing bar sashes on the top floor. All the sashes have painted wedge lintels with keyblocks. At the rear, there are two-storey and lean-to extensions.
