Description
The Chantry is a house dating from the early 19th century. It features a roughcast exterior over red brick and has a slate roof with roughcast stacks on the left gable and a single ridge. The building is two storeys high and has four bays. The main entrance includes a panelled door with a glazing bar fanlight set in an arched and panelled reveal, which is sheltered by a Tuscan porch. On either side of the doorway are single glazing bar sash windows, and to the right, there is a single storey roughcast lean-to with skylights. Above the entrance, there are four additional glazing bar sash windows. To the right of the house is a single storey outbuilding made of roughcast and slate. At the rear, there is a two storey wing.
