Description
No. 7 Eldon Street in Tuxford is a shop with domestic accommodation, dating from the early 19th century, featuring a 20th-century shopfront. The building is rendered over brick and has a slate roof with a right external gable stack and a wooden cornice. It stands two stories tall and has three bays. The central doorway has a part-glazed door with a three-pane overlight. On either side of the doorway are large segmental glazing bar shop windows. Above these windows is an entablature with consoles. The upper floor features two glazing bar casement windows from the 20th century, set in their original openings, complete with decorative flush wedge lintels and keystones. To the rear of the building are various two-story dwellings, which are not included in the listing. This property is included for its group value only.
