Description

No 11 is a Georgian house located on the north side of Market Place in Tuxford, dating from the early 19th century. The building is constructed of red brick, with the ground floor rendered. It features hipped roofs covered in concrete pantiles. The central section has three bays and is flanked by two single-bay wings that are slightly set back, each two stories high. The eaves are decorated with dentils.

The central entrance has a panelled door with an overlight, flanked by single sash windows. The right wing contains a similar sash window and a 20th-century doorway with a modern door to the right. The left wing has a 20th-century shop front, which includes a central doorway with a glazed door and overlight, flanked by shop windows. This shop front is adorned with an entablature supported by fluted pilasters. Above the shop front, there are five similar sash windows, and on the top floor, there are three more sash windows. All the sash windows and the central doorway feature moulded wooden surrounds and segmental arches.
