Description

The Old Vicarage is a house that was originally a vicarage, built in the mid to late 18th century, with later additions from the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of red brick and features pantile roofs. The late 18th century north front showcases dentil and dogtooth eaves and is two storeys high with three bays. The central doorway has a panelled and partially glazed door topped with a traceried fanlight, and it is flanked by single Tuscan three-quarter columns that support an open pediment. On either side of the doorway are single tripartite glazing bar sash windows, with three additional glazing bar sashes above.

To the left, there is a lower two-storey, single bay wing that has a single casement window in a projecting lean-to and a single glazing bar sash above. Projecting further to the left is a lower two-storey single bay early 19th century wing, which features a hipped pantile roof, a single ridge stack, and dentil eaves, along with a single glazing bar Yorkshire sash and a single casement above.

To the right, set back, is a lower two-storey single bay 19th century wing with a hipped pantile roof. This wing has a doorway with a 20th century door and overlight, along with a single glazing bar sash above. At the rear, there is a mid-18th century two-storey, two bay wing that has a steeply pitched hipped pantile roof and a central ridge stack, featuring two tripartite glazing bar sashes on each floor. To the left and set back is a two-storey, three bay 20th century brick and slate wing.
