Description

55 Moorgate is a building that possibly dates back to the late 18th century. It is two storeys high, constructed of painted brick, and features two later dormers in a modern roof. The building has brackets at the eaves. There is one window with brick voussoirs, hung sashes with glazing bars, and two later windows with two lights and segmental heads on both floors. The doorway of No 55 is pedimented, with a moulded frieze and moulded surround. The door itself has six panels and is topped by a rectangular fanlight. This building is included as part of a group with Nos 53 to 57.
