Description

Gringley Windmill is a windmill built around 1830. It is constructed of brick and features dentillated eaves and a curb, with the remains of a timber cap. The windmill has a battered circular tower that consists of four stages. All openings have segmental heads. The first stage includes a doorway on the west side and two iron frame glazing bar casements. The upper stages each have two unglazed timber casements with two lights. Inside, there are remains of the floor from the fourth stage.
