Description
East Bridgford Windmill is a windmill built in 1769, with alterations made in 1841 and raised to three stages in 1852. It is constructed of brick and features a flat roof and cogged eaves. The round battered tower consists of six stages. Most of the windows are pivoted cross casements with stone lintels. There are two rows of iron sockets for mounting a gallery. The south side has a door with an obliterated datestone above it, while the first floor displays a datestone inscribed 'T.H. Clark Builder 1841.' Doors are located on the east and west sides at the third stage, and the other stages have windows arranged in vertical rows.
