Description

The barn, pigeoncote, and attached outbuildings at Low Field Farm date from the early 19th century. They are constructed from dressed coursed rubble and feature pantile roofs. The two-storey barn has a hipped roof and a large blocked carriage arch that now contains a small wooden door set under a segmental arch. To the left, there is a small slatted opening with a glazing bar overlight beneath a segmental arch, along with another doorway. On the right side, there are two doorways with stable doors, also under segmental arches. The barn includes two slit ventilators and three round tie plates.

Adjacent to the barn is a one-and-a-half-storey, five-bay outbuilding with an eaves band, featuring four doorways with wooden doors. Above these doorways, there are three lights, two of which are fixed and one is blocked. All openings in this structure have flush splayed lintels. Further to the right is a two-storey pigeoncote with a pyramidal roof and an eaves band, which has a doorway with a wooden stable door and a single boarded opening above it. Projecting from this is a single-storey, five-bay cart shed and outbuilding made of red brick and dressed coursed rubble, also with a hipped roof, which has various altered openings and extensions. The rear wall of the dressed coursed rubble structure faces the street. This site is included for its group value.
