Description
Low Field Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse with a 19th-century rear extension. It features dressed coursed rubble and a hipped pantile roof, along with two dressed coursed rubble gable stacks. The building is two and a half storeys tall and has three bays, arranged in an L-plan. It stands on a plinth and has a ground floor band that is interrupted by openings. The central doorway has a part-glazed door and is flanked by tall glazing bar sash windows. Above, there are three smaller glazing bar sashes, and on the top floor, there are three small 20th-century glazing bar casements. All openings are adorned with painted splayed lintels that have slightly projecting keystones. The rear wing was raised in the 19th century from two to two and a half storeys and is constructed of red brick, featuring an arched glazing bar stair light.
