Description

The boundary wall and gate piers at Canal Wharf date from the early 19th century. The wall is constructed of coursed squared rubble and brick, topped with ashlar coping. It features a curved design with a brick inner face and a higher, ramped central section. At each end of the wall, there are pairs of later 19th-century piers that have pyramidal ashlar caps. The wall is approximately 150 meters long.
