Description
Grafton House is a house built in 1814. It is constructed of brick and features a 20th-century pantile roof, with ashlar dressings, steps, a plinth, a first-floor band, moulded eaves, and a pediment. The house has coped gables and two gable stacks, and it stands two storeys tall with three bays. The central bay projects and has a doorcase with reeded curved brackets supporting a cornice and pediment. There is a 20th-century glazed door, flanked by two later 19th-century canted bay windows, each containing two plain sashes and one margin light sash. Above the door, there is a central round-headed glazing bar sash, flanked by single plain sashes, all featuring rubbed brick heads and keystones. At the top, there is a central pediment with a datestone inscribed '1814'.
