Description
1 and 3 Willingham Road are two semi-detached houses built in the mid 18th century to early 19th century. They are constructed of red and brown brick. Number 3 features a fish-scale tiled roof with coped gables and gable stacks, while Number 1 has lower double ridge concrete tiled roofs, coped and tumbled gables, and a single stack at the rear.
Number 3, dating from the mid 18th century, has two storeys and a garret, with a three-bay front that shows remnants of blocked 18th-century windows. It has a first-floor band and a central doorway with a moulded doorcase, a rectangular overlight, a bracketed hood, and a paneled led door. The doorway is flanked by two early 19th-century plain sash windows, with two additional plain sashes above and a smaller glazing bar sash over the doorway. All windows have segmental heads.
Number 1, which is early 19th century and attached to the left of Number 3, also has two storeys and a garret, with a two-bay front and a first-floor band. Its doorway is positioned to the right and features a bracketed hood. There is a plain sash window to the left, with two plain sashes above, the one on the right being smaller. All windows here also have segmental heads.
