Description

The Cottage is a cottage dating from the mid-18th century, with later additions from the late 19th century and 20th century. It is constructed of red brick featuring burnt header bands. The roof is steeply pitched and covered with pantiles, with a stone-coped gable on the east side and a small raking dormer with a casement window at the rear. The building has two storeys and a garret, with a two-bay east range that includes two casement windows with upper lights and pointed cast iron tracery. Above these, there are two additional casement windows, also with pointed cast iron tracery. All windows are fitted with wooden lintels. There is a low porch with a doorway on the east return. To the southwest, there is a late 19th-century range that features 20th-century fenestration.
