Description

No 6, The Causeway is an 18th-century house that has undergone some alterations in the 19th century. It is constructed of brick in Flemish bond, with stucco dressings, and features a pantiled roof with stone-coped gables and kneelers. The house has two painted brick gable stacks and a moulded wooden doorcase that is topped with a flat hood supported by scrolly console brackets. On either side of the entrance, there are single added canted bay windows with brick bases, which contain glazing bar sashes and have pitched lead roofs. Above these, there are three glazing bar sashes that are adorned with splayed stucco lintels and raised keystones.
