Description

No 8 Plough Hill is a house from the 17th century with alterations from the 19th and 20th centuries. It features a coursed ironstone base and painted, colour-washed brickwork. The ground floor is made of small 17th-century bricks, while the upper floor uses larger 19th-century bricks. The roof is pantiled and there are two brick gable stacks, one of which is very tall. The house has a two-storey, three-bay front with a central panelled door from the 20th century that has a small overlight above it. This door is flanked by single 20th-century glazing bar sash windows, and to the right is a low 20th-century planked door. The first floor has three smaller glazing bar sash windows, and all openings feature brick segmental heads.
