Description
The coach house at the Old Rectory, dating from the mid-19th century, is now used as a garage. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with red brick dressings and quoins, topped with a slate roof and featuring one brick ridge stack. The building is single storey with a loft and has a five-bay front. There is an off-centre projecting gable that contains an opening with a flat head on kneelers, beyond which is a planked door and a fixed light with glazing bars. To the left of the gable are three ventilated openings, and to the right is a double planked door. Above the door is a gable with a three-centred head. All openings are framed with brick surrounds, and the gable has stepped brick edging at the eaves. This building is listed for its group value.
