Description

Mexborough House is an 18th-century house with early 19th-century alterations. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with stucco dressings and features a concrete pantile hipped roof with two wall stacks. The building has a T-plan layout and is two stories high with a three-bay front. The central entrance consists of a glazed door with a three-pane overlight, which is sheltered by a Doric porch that includes an entablature. On either side of the entrance are single glazing bar sash windows, and on the first floor, there are three similar windows, with the central window being narrower than the others. All the windows have slightly segmental heads with splayed lined stucco lintels.
