Description

Georgian House. Built in the late 18th century. The house is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and brick and ashlar dressings. It has hipped slate roofs with lead dressings and two stone wall stacks. The 7-bay front is arranged in a 2:3:2 configuration, with the central 3 bays slightly advanced and of three storeys, whereas the flanking bays are of two storeys only. The facade features a plinth, a first-floor band, and a narrow first-floor sill band, as well as a brick dentillated eaves course. A half-glazed door with a fanlight is located off-centre. To the left of the entrance are three glazing bar sashes, followed by a half-glazed door. To the right are a single window and another half-glazed door. The first floor has seven windows, the two flanking windows being smaller than the three central ones. The second floor features a central, small, rectangular blank opening flanked by single pivot lights. All openings have flush ashlar surrounds with splayed arches.
