Description
The coach house and stables at The Old Rectory date back to the 18th century and are built from red brick with a slate roof. The structure features a symmetrical design with a tall central section flanked by lower wings. The central gable has brick dentilled eaves and a recessed giant arch that contains a clock in a circular opening, with a wide cambered arch below it. The side ranges also have brick dentilled eaves and were originally designed with a composition of three arches. There are two doorways with fanlights and one fanlight above a blocked door to the right. Additionally, there are two blocked arches fitted with 20th-century garage doors and one curved-headed window to the left. The right end has a recessed giant arch. Attached to the left end is a lower range with a slate roof and a higher barn with a plain tile roof, featuring a cambered lintelled door, though these elements are of lesser interest.
