Description

The gatepiers and retaining wall to the churchyard of St. Michael, located on Church Street in Appleby Magna, date from the 17th or 18th century. The gatepiers feature rusticated stonework and support decorative vases. Surrounding the churchyard on three sides is a 19th-century stone retaining wall, which has stone copings.
