Description
Laburnum Farmhouse and The Old House is a late 18th-century building that has been converted into two houses. The structure is made of coursed limestone rubble, with some areas of red brick and stock brick. It features pantile roofs, with a red brick gable on the north side and tumbled red brick eaves on the lower north gable. The roof has a half hipped design to the west and includes two ridge stacks and two gable stacks.
The building is arranged in an L shape with a lobby entrance and has two storeys. The east front consists of five bays, including two lower service bays on the right. A 20th-century gabled stock brick porch is located on the left side, featuring a doorway with a segmental head and a partially glazed door. There are single narrow lights in the north and south walls of the porch. The porch is flanked by single glazing bar sashes with segmental heads. To the right in the lower range, there are two glazing bar sashes, and above, three glazing bar sashes, with the one over the door being narrower, all featuring segmental heads. The south front has four 20th-century glazing bar sash-type casements, with three glazing bar sash-type casements above, all having painted wedge lintels. There is also a low 20th-century extension to the left.
