Description

The Old Manor House and Lawris Cottage are a mid-18th century house, now divided into two cottages. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a pantile roof, tile coped gables featuring small kneelers, and a broad, irregular stone band at the eaves. The house has two storeys and a garret, with six bays visible on the front facade. A lobby entrance is centrally positioned. A doorway with a bracketed hood, plain doorcase, and partially glazed door is located to the right. A casement window is adjacent to the door, followed by a plain sash window, and a blocked opening. To the left of the doorway is a plain sash window, followed by another doorway with a partially glazed door, and a final plain sash window. All the ground-floor windows have segmental heads. Four windows are visible on the upper storey, comprising two plain sash windows to the left, a casement window, and a plain sash window to the right, all with painted wooden lintels. A red brick extension is present at the rear. Inside, a staircase from the 18th century features painted oak, turned bannisters, and a moulded handrail.
