Description

Pembertons Place is a row of five cottages, originally built in the early 19th century, with alterations in the 20th century. The cottages are constructed of coursed limestone rubble with red brick dressings. The roof is covered with pantiles, with a lower gabled roof to the right-hand side, and has two ridge stacks and a single gable stack. The two-storey facade is six bays wide, with two lower bays set slightly back on the right. A blocked doorway is on the left, flanked by single glazing-bar casements; another blocked doorway is to the right, flanked by further glazing-bar casements. A blocked doorway is present on the right, with a single glazing bar casement inserted to its right, and another similar window alongside. Five glazing-bar casements are located above. All windows, apart from the first-floor window on the right, have brick segmental heads. A doorway is present on the east return. Group Value: This building contributes to the group value of surrounding listed buildings.
