Description
Austin Friars, located at No. 12 Austin Strew, is a building from 1671. The main elevation facing the garden is an early 19th-century design, featuring three storeys constructed of coursed rubble. It has two stone stacks at the gable ends and three windows with stone rusticated surrounds that include keystones and bands at the cills. The windows are hung sashes with glazing bars, and the building has rusticated quoins. The ground floor windows are of two lights, and there are steps leading to the door. The roof is covered with stone slates.
