Fernbank, Liberty, Elie

Fernbank is a building dating from the 18th and early 19th century. It is two storeys high and constructed of rubble with ashlar dressings, featuring stugged quoins, margins, and moulded architraves on the first floor. The front has three windows, with a central plain architraved doorpiece that includes a denticulated cornice. To the left of the door is another door located under the left window, flanked by two windows. There is a single window centered above this on the first floor to the right. The first-floor windows are larger than those on the ground floor and are fitted with 4-pane sashes. The building has a slated roof with straight skews and ashlar stacks, which are corniced in brick. Additionally, there is a two-storey rubble addition to the right with one window. The property is complemented by a low curved front garden wall.
