Description

  1. 1671 BROAD STREET (North Side) No 2 TF 0207 1/52 II GV 2. Earlier C18, refronted in 1830. 2 storeys and attics in ashlar. Roof of stone slates, Remnants of Cl7 house to rear, and late C17 chimney stack. 2 2-storey canted bays, each containing 3 windows in moulded stone surround with small keystone, No glazing bars, except to 3 cambered dormers, which have double-hung sashes. Moulded cornice to bays, dentil eaves cornice to house, creaking forward over fluted and rusticated pilasters. Dentil eaves cornice to pilasters. 3 moulded rectangular stone panels between storeys of bays. Door of 6 panels with plain rectangular fanlight in moulded stone doorcase with panelled pilasters, fluted brackets and moulded cornice. Between Nos 2 and 3 rusticated and panelled stone stack with moulded capping, of late C17 date. Graded as part of a group.
