Description
The farm buildings at Pasture Hill Farm, dating from around 1840, consist of beast houses, stables, a wagon hovel, and a granary. They are constructed from coursed squared limestone rubble, featuring ashlar and brick dressings, with ashlar quoins. The roofs are made of pantiles, partly hipped and partly raised, and have stone-coped gables topped with a slender pinnacle. The buildings form three sides of a square crewyard and are single storey with a four-bay front. This front includes a projecting central bay with two gables, which is connected to square, slightly projecting corner blocks that have hipped roofs.
On the front of the outer blocks, there are recessed segmental-headed blank panels. The central area features two segmental brick-arched openings, with single circular openings above them. Flanking these are pairs of small rectangular fixed lights. To the left, there is a two-storey, five-bay block that includes wagon hovels and a barn with a granary above. This section has double planked doors set under a segmental brick arch. To the right, there are three similar openings with square chamfered ashlar piers, and on the first floor, there are three square planked openings. Note that Pasture Hill Farm itself is not included on this list.
