Description

STOKE ROCHFORD PRIVATE ROAD SK 92 NW (east side) 6/158 Dovecote Cottage The Bungalow and crew yards at Home Farm G.V. II Farmworker's cottage and pigeoncote, now converted to house, loose boxes, beast houses, crew yards. Early C19 with C20 alterations. Coursed limestone rubble, ashlar quoins, red brick, slate roofs, some hipped, the end ranges have raised stone coped gables, single ashlar ridge stack. Central 2 storey squared pigeoncote with single storey ranges to either side, with end ranges at right angles and 2 square free standing loose boxes in front of the house. Single crew yards to each end. Pigeoncote has hipped slate roof with single brick wall stack and louvred cupola with weather vane. C20 fenestration. In front are 2 loose boxes with hipped slate roofs, single stable doors with louvred windows to side walls. To left hand end a crew yard with open sided range with brick closing wall across the front and double planked gates. To right is a farmworker's house, single storey, with 2 light glazing bar windows and planked doors.
