Description

STOKE ROCHFORD PRIVATE ROAD SK 92 NW (east side) 6/159 Smithy and stable range at Home Farm G.V. II Smithy and stable range. Early C19. Squared limestone rubble with ashlar quoins, slate roofs with single red brick wall stack. L-plan. Single storey, 3 bay smithy is at right angles to taller single storey 7 bay stable range. The smithy has central large sliding door flanked by single planked doors. Stable range has planked door to right flanked by single glazing bar sashes, a planked stable door with to left a further planked stable door with overlight set in wider blocked opening, flanked by single glazing bar sashes. All openings have timber lintels.
